Do you like free quilt patterns? Of course you do! Good thing too, because I have one for you! This free quilt pattern uses up all your small scraps and only one yard of a solid fabric (I used Pure Elements in White Linen) and makes a good throw sized quilt at 56″ x 56″. I recently shared this pattern with my newsletter readers. In fact, all future free quilt patterns will always go out in the newsletter before they ever hit the blog or the shop, so be sure to opt in so you don’t miss a thing!
The name Postage Plus comes from the postage stamp style squares paired up with the plus-sign shaped negative space. There are 496 postage stamp squares, so you’ll definitely make a large dent in your scrap stash. But Kristan, what if I don’t have scraps? No problem! You can cut what you need from 9 fat quarters (or more if you’d like more variety). This option is also perfect if you’d prefer a more cohesive look or want to use up a bundle. I think this would look SO GOOD in Priory Square or Wild & Free, which both happen to have 9 prints and are available as bundles in the shop.
How to Get Your Free Quilt Pattern
Because this is a free quilt pattern, I have to ask that you please do not share the file either by printing it out and distributing or by emailing. If someone is interested, please direct them to this post or the download page in the shop so they can get their own. That’s less work for you anyways! As always, feel free to e-mail me with any questions you have, because I am always happy to help.
Get your FREE Postage Plus Quilt Pattern as an instant download now! And please share your progress on Instagram by tagging @stitcherie and using #postageplusquilt. I would love to see your Postage Plus quilts and feature your photos in a round-up soon! Can’t wait to see!
